Installing and using the Hebrew fonts on your system requires 4 easy steps:
1) Downloading the archived fonts file: Click here to receive the Hebrew fonts archived file (corkyttf.zip) and Save it to your disk. 2) Unzipping the archived file: Unzip the file into a temporary directory on your disk. If you don't have pkunzip.exe shift click here to receive the program and save it to your disk in the same directory (reccomended). Open a dos session, change to the directory you downloaded the files to and write this command: pkunzip corkyttf.zip The program will inflate the fonts from the archive and save them to the same directory. We recommend, though, that you be familar with more friendly archivers such as Nico Mak Computing's WinZip that can do the same by "drag and drop"ping. 3) Installing the fonts on your system: In windows open the control panel (Can be found in Windows 3.11 in the "Main" group, in Windows95 click start - settings - control panel) and open the fonts folder. From the file menu choose "Install new fonts". Ask the program to look for the fonts in the directory you unzipped the files to and click "Select All" and "OK". The Hebrew fonts are now installed on your system. 4) Choosing the fonts as your web browser fonts: Configure your browser to use the new Hebrew font (CorkyWeb Hebrew prop) to view the web. (In Netscape 2.0 and higher you can find it under options - general options - fonts). It is even more recommended that you asssign the font to be used with a different encoding than Latin1, and assign it to Latin2 for example. Then you can swith the usable fonts from the standard Time New Roman to CorkyWeb Hebrew on the fly, just by changing the Document Encoding found on the Options menu on Netscape Navigator. | |
